The criteria to judge the strength
of the application will include:

of the research

evidence that the faculty
member is invested in research and engaging undergraduates
in their research

the appropriateness of
the research project for significant and meaningful undergraduate
involvement

the potential for garnering
future extramural support

the applicant's publication
history
Host Institution
-
the facilities and sufficient
equipment to enable the project's execution
-
a demonstrated commitment
to supporting the faculty member's desire to integrate teaching
and research
-
the committee structure
to support appropriate reviews for human research (an Institutional
Review Board) and animal research (an Institutional Animal
Care and Use Committee)
